POLICY 

Authority OW Act: Sec. 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8 & OW Directives: Dir. 7.4

The Director of Integrated Social Services may approve costs for vocational training as a discretionary benefit if the costs are not covered through employment assistance. This benefit may be used when employment-related expenses have been exhausted. 

The cost of up to $1,000 per participant for job specific skills training or retraining may be approved as a discretionary benefit non-health-related Request will be will be forwarded to the Supervisor who will seek approval from the Director of Integrated Social Services.
