Attached hereto is Resolution #20-095 that was passed by the Council of the Municipality of Killarney at their Regular Meeting held March 11, 2020 which fully supports the resolution passed by Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board which calls upon the Minister of Health to consolidate the current three Ambulance Communications Centres' to one Centre for EMS dispatch to Greater Sudbury contingent on 100% provincial funding.

WHEREAS Greater Sudbury was selected by the Ministry of Health as a pilot municipality for assumption of operational control of the Central Ambulance Communications Centre; and
WHEREAS the feasibility study concluded that a fully integrated Emergency Communications Services system for Greater Sudbury was desirable; and
WHEREAS such a system would eliminate the MSDSB Paramedic Services being dispatched by three separate Ambulance Communications Centres located in Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and Sudbury; and
WHEREAS the Municipality of Killarney supports resolution #20-19 passed by the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board (MSDSB) at their meeting of February 27, 2020 calling upon the Ontario Ministry of Health to consolidate the current three Ambulance Communications Centres to one Centre for EMS dispatch to Greater Sudbury contingent on 100% provincial funding; and
FURTHER THAT this resolution be forwarded to the Honourable Christine Elliot, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Alison Blair, Assistant Deputy Minister — Emergency Health Services Division, Jim Pine — Advisor to the Minister of Health, to NOSDA, AMO, FONOM and to the MPP's for the ridings of Sudbury, Nickel Belt, Timiskaming-Cochrane and Algoma-Manitoulin.
