Subject: ZOLL Cardiac Monitor Maintenance/Repairs Policy No. G.5.15.2023

 

PURPOSE

To provide guidelines to facilitate an expedited repair and Preventative Maintenance program for all Life Pak 15 Cardiac Monitors, ensuring operational readiness.

PROCEDURE

Repair Process
 

Where any cardiac monitor is determined to be operating outside of the accepted parameters, the device shall be placed out of service, and the Paramedic Superintendent notified. A ticket detailing the failure shall be completed and submitted in the Operative IQ system. 

Servicing of the Life Pak 15 Cardiac Monitors has been contracted with Stryker Canada. The vendor will supply the service with a replacement monitor for the duration of the time needed to complete the repair. 

PM Program
 

Life Pak 15 cardiac Monitors are PM serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s direction, and by Stryker   Canada. Batteries will be serviced as required. The PM schedule is set up with Stryker and replacement devices are issued for the cycling during the PM period.
