Subject: Standards Adherence for Vehicle/Equipment Policy No. G.1.4. 

 

PURPOSE 

To ensure Manitoulin-Sudbury DSB Paramedic Services maintains Regulatory compliance with Land Ambulance and Emergency Response Vehicle Standards, and with Provincial Equipment Standards.

PROCEDURE

The purchase of all vehicles and equipment shall be done in a manner that ensures the products meet or exceed all applicable Standards. 

Modification of any vehicle, or equipment shall be done in a manner that is in adherence to all applicable Standards.

Utilization of all vehicles and equipment shall be done in a manner that meets or exceeds all applicable Standards. 

Stocking and deployment of all vehicles and equipment shall be done in a manner that meets or exceeds all applicable Standards.  

Preventative Maintenance, inspection, and repair of all vehicles and equipment will be done in accordance with all applicable Standards, in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Guidelines, and in accordance with Paramedic Services Directives.
