A long-time employee of the Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board has been appointed its new CAO.

Bruce Killah, the chair of the board, says members are pleased to appoint Donna Stewart as Chief Administrative Officer as of this Thursday.

He says Stewart expects the transition to run smoothly since she has over 22 years of experience with the organization.

Stewart says she realizes the importance of meeting the ever-changing needs of the 18-member municipalities and unorganized territories overseen by the board.

Stewart will work mainly out of the Espanola area but will be accessible to partners and community members.
